Sandra Wells, my wife, fell twice since May 2009, and had to be taken to the Cedars-Sinai emergency room in West Hollywood. The first revealed a break in her right leg and in the spinal area, but no surgery was necessary because she did not have serious osteoporosis in the upper spine and the leg gradually healed itself with lots of exercise. Dr. Steven Kamara supervised her case there, where he has been an inpatient doctor for over 25 years.
She was transferred for continued treatment under Dr. Kamara's supervision for a month at the excellent West Hollywood Healthcare and Wellness Center. The second fall was far less serious and the break was so small it could only be detected by a CT-scan, so the surgeon just pinned it together and a few days later sent her to WHHWC for another few weeks.
We continued to see Dr. Kamara at his private practice, which has a great reputation, supported by his fantastic assistant, Bea, at 6221 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 617, Beverly Grove www.stevenkamaramd.com skmoffice1@gmail.com or 323/935-9700. It is open Mon.-Thu. and he has an unusual ability to communicate with a wide variety of patients, since he is fluent not only in English and Spanish, but Hebrew, Farsi, and Arabic. He specializes in internal medicine and that can cover everything from annual physicals and preventive medicine to sleep problems and hypertension. The practice accepts most PPO insurance plans and has affordable options for those without insurance or high deductibles.
He has received 4.9 stars from 199 reviews, some from patients who have been seeing him for 20-40 years. One that is typical: "He is absolutely the best primary care physician in California." All reviews speak of not only his tremendous knowledge, but compassionate care.

Best doctor in town. So knowledgeable and very caring. He takes the time to sit down and talk to you for a while. He’s always very concerned and very considerate. He listens to his patients always and Dr Kamara gives the best and most accurate diagnosis always.

Another wonderful visit. Dr kamara is caring and detail oriented. It is convenient to have B and Ur. tests at the nurse's office. I also had Lower back problems, so approved
to take an MRI .

I am a long time patient of Dr. Kamara. In that time, I still look forward to my Dr. appt. Bea, who runs the front office gives a big "welcome" when you walk through the door. Dr. Kamara refers you to the best specialist when needed.

Dr. Kamara is one of those Doctors you do not think exist anymore.
He is available, compassionate, knowledgeable, all that you want for
a family Doctor. If you are in the hospital his calming presence is
there every day, if you do not feel well you will probably be seen
in his office the same day. His office manager is the jewel in the crown.
She remembers who you are, helps in every way from getting you in
to handling the insurance. He has been my primary for many years
and I feel blessed to be one of his patients.

What would I do without Dr Kamara!!! He’s been the greatest doctor to me and his always on top of my healthcare. He’s the first one that comes in to check up on me whenever I’m in the hospital!!!

Dr Kamara has been my primary care
Physician for many year’s. I have had many complicated and difficult diagnoses, including Pancreatic Cancer. He has been there every step of the way. He has given me great referrals. Dr kamara is kind, patient

We accept major PPO plans including Blue Shield, Blue Cross and CIGNA as well as United Healthcare and Medicare fees for service only. We also offer affordable options for those without insurance or for those with high deductibles required with their insurance plans. We are not on network with any HMO plans or medi-cal.
